Interactive Groundwork

Groundwork Routines

Groundwork Routines develop Balance, and are extremely important to your horse’s physical, mental and emotional well-being.  By implementing Bodywork and Groundwork into your horse’s routine, you will begin to break tight tension patterns, strengthen the core and stabilizing muscles of the thoracic sling, back, stifle and pelvic area.  You may notice improvement in gait irregularities and increased mobility that was hindered by tension, crookedness and weak muscle patterns.  The goal is to help improve your horse’s well-being, performance, and the bond that you share.

Back to the Basics

Groundwork routines are Interactive.  We will begin with basic, foundational Pole and In-Hand routines.  As the horse progresses, so will the routines.  Sessions combine Mobilization, Strengthening and Stabilizing techniques needed for a Balanced horse.  The exercises consist of pole work, lateral exercises, core strengthening, dynamic stretching, mobilizing and stabilizing exercises.  The routines are fun and easy, and Dawn will always be available for feedback.

Clinics

Individual sessions will be tailored to meet your horse’s needs.  Dawn would complete a Bodywork session with your horse.  If you desired a more comprehensive plan of Groundwork Routines, one would be developed.  A second session would be scheduled to go over the plan with you and your horse.  This can take from one to three hours and depends on the needs of the horse.

Group sessions are available, and a plan would be tailored to meet the group’s needs.  Smaller groups are best in order to give participants as much one-on-one attention as possible.  Group sessions could run anywhere from two to six hours.
